As a positive role model for the industry, TJ Wies remains proactive in preventing incidents and injuries by going above and beyond OSHA mandates.
The Safety committee meets quarterly. Mandatory company wide safety meetings occur bi-annually.
A Safety orientation is required for all new employees. Foremen conduct daily huddles to communicate the daily jobsite specific analysis.
When working at or above 5 feet high, TJ Wies requires employees to tie-off, surpassing the current OSHA mandate of 6 feet and above.
All employees utilize cut-resistant gloves, have their own personal fall arrest system, and are provided the highest quality personal protective equipment.
The EMR speaks for itself. TJ Wies empowers employees to make safe decisions to protect the wellbeing of everyone on the jobsite.
In October of 2021, TJ Wies employees achieved 2.1 million man-hours worked without lost time due to an incident. TJ Wies is proud of our employees for embracing and exemplifying the TJ Wies core value of Safety every day on their jobsites.
Work safe, work hard, have fun!
