9/11 Day

Today TJ Wies Contracting employees participated in Meal Pack for 9/11 Day to help the 9/11 Day organization pack 3,000,000 meals for food banks nationwide. The 9/11 Day nonprofit organization was created by two friends, David Paine and Jay Winuk, who were determined to see that something positive arose from the horrible 9/11 tragedy. Inspired by the way the nation came together in the immediate aftermath of the attacks, David and Jay decided they'd work to transform 9/11 into a day of service and encourage Americans on the anniversary to perform good deeds in the spirit of unity and peace. Today 9/11 Day is the largest annual day of service in the nation and an inspiration for many people to continue to be helpful and kind throughout the year. Visit 911day.org to learn more.
