TJ Wies Participates in Building Change 22 Strong Challenge

TJ Wies employees recently participated in Wright Construction Services’ Building Change 22 Strong event, benefiting local veterans charities.

The 22 Strong Challenge is an event series that honors and supports United States Military Veterans. The event offers a 22-Day Virtual Challenge, a 22-Mile In-Person Walk, and a 2.2-Mile In-Person Walk. The number 22 is significant to the event because it represents the 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Building Change’s goal is to support the community of veterans and bring awareness to the charities supporting veterans.

On September 24, 2022, a team from TJ Wies joined the cause and completed the 22-mile walk. TJ Wies is proud to sponsor this event every year and looks forward to continued participation. This year’s event was the biggest to date, raising over $80,000 to support Focus Marines Foundation, Gateway Blue Star Mothers, Got Your Six PTSD Support Dogs, Joshua Chamberlain Society, Six String Heroes, and St. Charles County Veterans Museum.
